COP26

An important step towards global #sustainabilityreporting Standards. At COP26 the IFRS Foundation has announced the formation of the International Sustainability Standards Board (#ISSB)

The creation of an International Sustainability Standards Board (Issb) was announced on 03 November 2021 at Cop26 in Glasgow by the Ifrs Foundation, an NGO that aims to set global standards to define the sustainability of company investments.

The Council will present a set of standards next year which will be subject to public consultation and may be transposed by national courts on a voluntary basis.

Finance ministers and central bank governors from 37 countries welcomed the birth of the ISSB in Glasgow.
